The highway now descends into Whitecourt. Whitecourt is situated at the junction of the McLeod and Athabasca Rivers and is a major centre for the logging, oil and gas industries.
Entering Whitecourt. Many highway commercial services are located along the east side.
Further into town. A future bypass alignment has been designated around the south of Whitecourt.
Descending to the older part of town.
