Highway 43
Junction of Highway 736.
Descending the valley to cross the Smoky River ahead.
Town of Benzanson access to the left. A small bypass alignment was constructed around the town when the road was twinned.

Nearing the newly constructed interchange with Highway 2. This diagrammatic sign indicates Highway 2 north to Peace River on the first exit, Highway 43 south to Grande Prairie on the second exit, and Township Road 722 straight ahead.
Exit to Highway 2 north.
Highway 43 exits to the right. This interchange was set up to accommodate a possible future extension of Highway 43 straight ahead and around the northwest of Grande Prairie.

Highway 2 formally ends here as Highway 43 takes over to pass under itself on its way south into the city.
